"A thrilling end to the game..." Oh no, that was the opening to last week's report! This week...
We lost!! On second thoughts, we got hammered!!
On a cold and dull afternoon, we came up against a very strong Denham side this year, a side lacking many familiar faces including Harish - where was Harish when we needed him??!!
Batting first, Denham racked up 271-3 in their 40 overs. Highlights from the innings (I'll keep it short, actually it IS short): Keeping them to under 300, Jed caught one from a skier, Gaurav's juggling caught and bowled, and Akshay's 'stunning' run out. That's it really.
In our reply, well 3 of us managed double figures (just), four managed ducks and extras accounted for 25% of our runs. Sachin broke his run of ducks by top scoring with 15 including a glorious six.
