22/05 v Northchurch (Away)

Result: Lost by 145 runs

Toss: Northchurch elected to bat

Having lost the toss and been put into field, Northchurch got off to a poor start as Sajid (8-2-51-1) and Ravi (8-0-33-1) removed both openers for nought. Numbers 3 and 4 proved a little more resilient though as Northchurch set about setting a target. Dhruv (8-0-44-0) and Vish (8-0-39-1) kept them reasonably quiet during the middle overs with Uma (4-0-28-0) and Gaurav (4-0-20-0) filling in before Sajid and Ravi returned to finish off their innings at 236-4 with David bagging one good and one very good catch along the way. A good score but it was a good wicket to bat on too.

In reply Paul and Alex batted cautiously to try to see off their openers but fell cheaply to leave us at 19-2. Uma and Gaurav also came and went too quickly and the score was 39-5 when Ravi was run out. From there David and Ali came and went leving the score on 47 and Dhruv became our second run out with the score on 61-8. The final 2 wickets got us up to 96 with Sajid and Vish doing the damage. Not our best batting display as only Gaurav with 10 and top scorer Vish with 18 made it into double figures, extras top scoring with 25!
