Our winning run came to an end against a youthful and talented Chesham XI. Having been put into bat, Paul and Gaurav opened. Paul(1) left quickly along with Luke(5) and Uma(17) leaving a lot of our batting back in the clubhouse with only 59 on the board. Gaurav was still there and put together a 62 run partnership with the help of the returning David(7). This bought Jitender(46) to the crease who lost Gaurav(82), and Prakash(4) as partners before an excellent 61 run partnership with Bennett(19) got us up to 198. Chamal blasted a quickfire 23 getting us up to a decent 234.

In reply, Sajid(5-0-29-1) and Samir(5-1-35-0) set about their batting lineup. They were followed by Gaurav(6-0-29-1) and Chamal(8-0-51-0) who whilst maintaining control were unlucky in their efforts to take wickets. Luke(4-0-47-0) and Uma(2-0-16-0) had a brief effort with the ball and Prakash only managed to fit in 1 over as the result was not in doubt at that point. Chesham reached their target in the 31^st over for the loss of only 3 wickets. Good catches by Prakash and Luke along the way but we definitely came second in this one.
