Having won the toss, Chesham Bois elected to bat. The Withams opening partnership was short lived but Paul(20) and the resurgent Alex(27) guided us to 31 before Paul was out. Uma(92) joined Alex, pushing the score up to 98 before Alex was unluckily bowled. Akshay(18) held down one end as Uma worked his way up to 92. Benny, Sajid(27), Vish(7) and Mak(1 N.O) got us up to a pretty decent 211-8 off our 40 overs.

Vish(8-1-1-35) was quickly into his stride as he opened the attack along with Sajid(8-0-1-51). Peter(8-0-45-0) bowled without luck, as he and Akshay(8-0-3-38) set about the Denham batting lineup. Uma(7-0-1-35) filled the last bowling slot used. The strong Denham batting lineup seemed to be cruising at 165-2 off 31 overs, but a flurry of wickets, including a hattrick chance for Akshay, reduced them to 184- 6 off 34 overs but Denham got over the line with 6 balls remaining. A good enjoyable game against Denham and another competitive 200+ total posted which we can’t be too unhappy about.
