Result: LOST by 7 wkts
Toss: CB elected to bat
A nice summer day for a cricket match as Chesham Bois won the toss and elected to bat. Pimlico proved to be a useful side with some handy bowlers as Alex was removed cheaply with Rajiv (11) following shortly afterwards. Paul (25) anchored the innings at this point as he was joined by Uma. When Paul was out with the score on 78, Uma was joined by Gaurav (39) and they weren’t to be separated until the score was on 206 when Uma was out for 111. Gaurav followed 1 run later as Ollie (8) and Arjun (6 no) got us to 235 off our 35 overs.
In reply, Pimlico got off to a brisk start as Haider(4-0-26-0) and Danish (3-0-25-0) did their best to dent their top order. Arjun (5-1-21-1) and Ollie (7-0-33-2) proved to be our most effective bowlers with Ollie removing their dangerous opener with the help of Arjun catching on the boundary. They were the last wickets to fall as Rajiv (4-0-30-0), Ashay (3-0-35-0), Gaurav (3-0-21-0) and Uma (4.4-0-38-0) all attempted to dislodge their, by now, well set batsmen. Pimlico got home with 8 balls to spare.
A game we would have hoped to win having set 235 off 35 overs, but if we score 235 in every game we play we will certainly be in the game.
