Time to try our hand at a T20 game because we were hoping that England would be playing in the World Cup final!!

We elected to bat and Chenies immediately chose spin from one end which was a good tactic. Bennet and Gaurav(9) were soon back in the clubhouse as only Uma(58) really got on top of the bowling. Suresh(4), Alex(5), Aaryan(7), Jitender(13), Sachin(5) and Rudy(5 no) helped us up to 133-9 off our 20 overs. It felt a little light.

In reply, Samar(4-0-16-1) and Rudy(4-0-1-30)  bowled well with Rudy’s first 3 overs only going for 15. Jitender(2-0-15-1) and Aaryan(2-0-23-0) were next up. A great spell by Gaurav(4-0-21-3) along with Uma(4-0-24-0) helped us keep it a contest, but finally Chenies got over the line in the 19^th over with 6 wickets down. A good game and we could have made it closer if we had kept the extras a bit more under control (21 no balls) but enjoyable and everyone played their part in the game. Thank goodness, Spain then beat Argentina!!
